The IRS has volunteered to be present for six regional gatherings throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle over the next two weeks to provide information about tax identity fraud. The meetings will be led by IRS Special Agent in Charge Kenneth Hines of the Seattle Field Office. Each session will begin with a brief introduction by the archdiocese on how the problem was first discovered and steps that have been taken to address it. There will be time for questions and answers as well as an opportunity for participants to make a formal written statement. An “Identity Theft Victim Form” is available on the Archdiocese of Seattle website and attendees are encouraged to fill it out in advance of attending the sessions.
With the exception of the Bellevue gathering, all meetings will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The meetings will take place at the following locations:
