The Mercer Island Band-Aides, a small group of Islanders formed to do charitable work, has organized a silent auction and dinner to benefit the Alzheimer Association this Saturday, Sept. 12.
The event, which takes place at the Mercer Island VFW Hall, includes a salmon bake dinner, drinks, and a silent auction. Auction items include: Wine by the bottle and case, restaurants certificates, local artwork, perennial plant sets, garden decor, gift baskets, spa packages, sports memorabilia and more. All items were donated by generous businesses and individuals.
The money raised will go toward research to treat and prevent Alzheimer’s, and programs to improve the lives of millions through the Alzheimer Association.
The dinner starts on Saturday at 5 p.m. The silent auction and musical entertainment will follow. Tickets costs $25 per person. The first table of bidding closes at 6 p.m. The last table closes at 7:30 p.m.
