Delfin and Lilia Bermudez of Mercer Island happily announce the marriage of their daughter, Zerina Bermudez (a member of the Mercer Island High School, Class of 2003) to Kevin “KP” Peralta, son of Leo and Arsenia Peralta of San Jose, Calif.
The ceremony was held May 31, 2015, at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, in honor of Zerina’s Great-Aunt, Sister Herminia Coquia, FMM.
The officiant was Fr. Michael Kelley of St. Agatha with assistance from Fr. Patrick Freitag of St. Monica Catholic Church on Mercer Island.
The bride holds a bachelor of arts degree in bio-cultural anthropology from Western Washington University. She has also earned a post-baccalaureate associate of arts degree in medical assisting from Lake Washington Institute of Technology, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a certified medical assistant.
The groom holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Gonzaga University and a post-baccalaureate associate of arts degree in graphic design from Seattle Central College.
The maid of honor was Roberta Wang, who is also a member of the Mercer Island High School Class of 2003. The bridesmaids were Marjorie Ferrer, Arlette Fellores and Juna Alvarez. The best man was Vincent Ching and groomsmen were Brannon Peralta, Cicero Delfin and John Paul Peralta. The flower girl was Kayden Hussey and ring bearer was Armando “Trey” Broadnax III.
The couple plans to move to New York so Zerina may pursue a career as a physician assistant while KP gains more experience as an art director and graphic designer.
