Emma Williams and Katie Evans, both 8, hawk kettle corn during the fireworks at Luther Burbank Park at Summer Celebration — assisting Daniella England, of Coldwell Banker Bain Mercer Island, and Island resident Jacqueline Jacobi, of JJ’s Life Skills Through Horsemanship, to benefit the Mercer Island Schools Foundation. The girls, who both attend Lakeridge Elementary School, were part of a larger group at the event.

“Thanks to our amazing kettle corn crew and everyone who bought some kettle corn, the event was a success and something we look forward to doing annually,” England said.
