Mercer Ways are unsafe

Councilmember [Mike] Grady’s sad experience with school buses is one that all can be thankful for not being much worse and tragic. And sadly, it is illustrative of East and West Mercer Way having been designed, and constructed, with horses, mules and donkeys long before bicycles were commonly used for daily and weekend transportation/recreation, especially by organized clubs.

Will a tragedy finally force restrictive and enforced safety ordinances by our City Council, establishing days of the week, time, hours, etc., for bicycle use? Horrifically unpopular, but apparently horrifically necessary.
