The multi-agency Eastside Narcotics Task Force (ENTF) made a major drug bust and arrest earlier this month in Issaquah.

ENTF worked around the clock, Dec. 8 and 9, after receiving a tip that a vehicle was headed from Issaquah to Chicago with a load of marijuana. The vehicle was located and surveillance was set up at a hotel in Issaquah. A search warrant was secured and Washington State Patrol Narcotics K-9 team assisted the task force.

In all, one suspect was arrested, 149 pounds of processed marijuana worth approximately $500,000 and $15,000 in cash were seized.

“This was a great case by a dedicated unit who made this arrest and seizure. These types of drug trafficking cases are often tied to larger criminal enterprises. Anything we can do to make a dent in their profits and keep the product from getting to the street is well worth it” stated ENTF Captain Steve Lynch.

The investigation is continuing.

The ENTF is a partnership of the King County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol and police departments from Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Redmond.
