Open House on new commuter parking options

Presentation on parking concepts and bus and light rail integration will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Community and Event Center.

The City of Mercer Island and Sound Transit are working together to find additional commuter parking options to address the significant demand at the Mercer Island Park-and-Ride.

On Wednesday, November 19, join us for an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Community and Event Center; presentation begins at 6 p.m.

Attendees will learn more about:

  • Concepts to expand parking at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center
  • New parking options for commuters as early as 2017
  • Integration of bus and light rail service on Mercer Island

Two parking concepts have been identified. The City of Mercer Island and Sound Transit staff will introduce the preliminary designs, answer questions, and hear from residents about neighborhood priorities.
