The Mercer Island 11-12 Little League All-Star team took home the District 9 championship with a 4-2 victory over Bellevue West Monday evening at Hidden Valley Park in Bellevue.

Mercer Island went 5-0 in the district tournament, scoring back-to-back wins over Bellevue West to claim the title. Mercer Island also edged Bellevue 2-1 in the semifinal round.

Team members include Alex Arron, Will Atkinson, Nathan Buchan, Tyler Butson, Evan Dickstein, Ethan Fallis, Matthew Feldman, Caiden Fukano, Wesley Ho, Paul Noone, Rory Shanks, Jack Shoop and Tripp White. Mercer Island is managed by Peter Noone along with coaches Travis White and Rick Buchan.

The Mercer Island 11-12 All-Stars will begin state tournament competition at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 26 at Northshore Athletic Fields in Woodinville.
