MISSING PERSON: A 65-year-old Mercer Island man was reported missing, having disappeared sometime between 9:45 p.m. on Monday night and 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The patient at Videll Healthcare allegedly has dementia and paranoia.
COLLISION: A vehicle parked in the Starbucks lot blocked the movement of other cars and was narrowly scraped as another car pulled out. The offending driver claimed there were no visible damages and so left the scene. He was later pulled over not far from the parking lot.
THEFT: Between Nov. 4 and Nov. 25 a graphing calculator, Apple iPhone charger, an iPad and Toshiba laptop computers were stolen from Yellowwood Academy. The losses total more than $3,000 and no suspect has been identified.
THEFT: $18,000 in missing jewelry were reported almost six months after they were allegedly stolen. The six pieces of gold and diamond jewelry were assumed to be in the family safe but when the daughter of the Mercer Island resident, who uses the same housekeeper, also noticed missing jewelry, the family reported the crime. The pieces of jewelry are believed to have gone missing sometime between May or June of this year.
ABANDONED VEHICLE: A 1996 white Honda was towed after being left vacant for 72 hours. The vehicle, registered to a Seattle resident, was found at 3200 89th place S.E.

BURGLARY: Sometime between the hours of 11 p.m. on Tuesday night and 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, a suspect entered the garage of a Mercer Island home in the 7800 block of 8th Pl. S.E. A wooden baseball bat was left on the floor near the family’s car. No items were stolen and there was no sign of forced entry. A side door was unlocked in the family vehicle and all three garage doors were closed.
VEHICLE PROWL: Between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle in the 6200 block of S.E. 30th St. The vehicle was not damaged, but its owner reported missing two pairs of leather gloves, 75 cents, a missing car stereo face and a work ID.
COLLISION: Around 8:30 a.m. last Tuesday, two vehicles in the Northeast corner of the lower level parking garage at the North Mercer Park and Ride, collided head on. No injuries were reported and both vehicles drove away after the incident. One of the drivers reported an expired Arkansas license and claimed he did not have liability insurance.
THEFT: Between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. a 16-year-old Mercer Island high school student reported her iPhone stolen from her gym bag. The loss was estimated at $540.
VEHICLE PROWL: Sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning between 7 p.m. and 10:15 a.m. a vehicle in the 6100 block of S.E. 28th St., was broken into. The rear passenger seat window was smashed in, resulting in $300 in damages. A cardboard box full of kitchen items was missing but later found across the street.

WARRANT ARREST: During a traffic stop, a driver in the 2400 block of 84th Ave S.E. was found to have a warrant filed by Bellevue police for criminal trespassing. The warrant was confirmed and the driver was taken into custody.
VEHICLE PROWL: In only a 10 minute window of time, a laptop and bag filled with prayer books and a shawl were stolen from a parked Range Rover in the 7800 block of S.E. 28th St. The missing items were estimated at $1,500 in losses.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A landscaping light was ripped out of the ground and thrown across the street. The wiring on the light fixture was damaged, resulting in repair costs of about $250.
COLLISION: A northbound vehicle in the 2700 block of 80th Ave S.E. at the intersection of S.E. 27th St., missed a stop sign. The vehicle collided with another, causing heavy damages to the first car and minor damages to the second. One driver was transported to Valley Medical Center, after complaining of minor pain.

WARRANT ARREST: A subject with a local warrant on his name was released from King County Jail. He was transported and booked into custody at Issaquah.
