The Mercer Island girls lacrosse team earned a non-conference win over Issaquah by two points on Monday, April 29. The final score was 16-14 for the Islanders.
In the match, Tyler Sherper scored five goals, had two assists and three ground balls, while fellow captain Dulce Moll posted five goals and one assist in the game. Madison Blackburn scored two goals, with one ground ball and caused two turnovers, while Saffron Snethen had three goals and five ground balls. Goalie Andrea Hatsukami made eight saves in the match.
The Islanders will travel to Bainbridge Island on Wednesday, May 1 for a league showdown between the two teams at 8 p.m. Both teams are currently tied for first place in the Alki Conference with 5-0 league records.
