I am a big supporter, believing the Farmers Market is an important Island asset. I would like to see a few improvements though.

1. A much longer season, All this beautiful weather and no market is a sad situation.

2. Do not close it for the Summer celebration. Personally, I would rather see the Island Summer Celebration close than the Farmers Market. The solution is to incorporate the FM into the celebration and actually have good food available for the celebration.

3. Bring in raw milk. Raw milk is legal in WA state, yet unavailable at our “super” markets. It would be nice to be able to buy it on the Island as in the past. Maybe the Mercer Island historical society should sell it…

There is my rant, very glad to have a market, let’s make it better!
