May 11
Malicious mischief: A Kirkland man reported vandalism in the upper lid park, in the 7100 block of SE 22nd St., at 12:45 p.m. The tanks/stacks and picnic tables had been graffitied and etched with a sharp object.
Theft: An Island man in the 8000 block of Avalon Pl. said at 4:07 p.m. that paddle boards had been taken from his backyard sometime in the past month.
May 12
Prowling: An Island man in the 3000 block of 81st Pl. SE said at 8:29 a.m. that his unsecured car was opened and rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
Theft: At 12:40 p.m., an Island man in the 5600 block of 80th Ave. SE said that someone working on an extensive remodel of his home had stolen a prescription drug from his master bedroom.
Theft: An Island man said at 7:05 p.m. that a subject took a basket full of electric razors from the Walgreens on Southeast 27th Street without paying for them.
Prowling: A Bellevue man and woman reported a forced entry car prowl at 7:22 p.m. in the 2000 block of 84th Ave. SE. Their front passenger window was broken and a purse was stolen, for a loss of $2,550.
Fraud: An Island man in the 8300 block of SE 30th Pl. said at 9:25 p.m. that he was notified through a credit monitoring service that someone had tried to open a Chase credit card in his name. He closed the card before he lost any money.
May 13
Found property: A bike was found in some bushes at 10:56 a.m. in the 9000 block of SE 60th St.
Fraud: An Island woman in the 3200 block of 74th Ave. SE said at 12:57 p.m. that her Social Security number was used to fraudulently file a tax return.
May 15
Prowling: A Marysville man and woman said their vehicle window was broken at Luther Burbank Park at 4:48 p.m., and a purse was taken from the front seat. There were prescription medications in the purse, but nothing else of value.
May 17
Theft: A mountain bike was reported stolen from Island Park Elementary at 1:24 p.m. by an Island woman. The suspect, a Fall City man, and his associated vehicle were recorded by school video surveillance cameras, and a copy of the video was given to MIPD.
