Mercer Islanders named to University of Vermont’s dean’s list

The following Mercer Island students have been named to the University of Vermont's dean's list for the spring 2016 semester: Katherine Myerson, an animal sciences major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; and Michaela Hooper, a global studies major in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The following Mercer Island students have been named to the University of Vermont’s dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester:Katherine Myerson, an animal sciences major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences; and Michaela Hooper, a global studies major in the College of Arts and Sciences.

To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Chartered in 1791, UVM was the first college or university in the U.S. that did not give preference to a religious sect in its charter. UVM now has 10,081 undergraduates in seven schools and colleges.
