This spring, Stroum Jewish Community Center’s Cultural Arts program, together with the Tom Douglas cooking school Hot Stove Society, will present world-class chefs in a series of public events in Seattle and Mercer Island.
On April 6, James Beard Award winner chef Michael Solomonov teaches ZAHAV with Chef Michael Solomonov, a class named for his renowned Philadelphia eatery, at Hot Stove Society in Seattle. Tastes will be served along with his demonstrations.
Solomonov is the subject of “In Search of Israeli Cuisine,” a new documentary from director Roger Sherman, presented as part of the 2016 Seattle Jewish Film Festival on Thursday, April 7 at SIFF Cinema Uptown. Named Eater’s National Chef of the Year for 2014, Solomonov will be in attendance at the screening, which will be followed by “Taste of Zahav” treats for all attendees.
The Hot Stove Society class with Solomonov on April 6 will be held at Hotel Andra at 2000 Fourth Ave. in Seattle.
