Mercer Island Fire, Bellevue Fire and Eastside Fire Departments responded to a structure fire in the 4700 block of E. Mercer Way on June 30.

The fire was quickly located in the crawl space, and fire crews spent the next several hours extinguishing it. A total of 13 fire units responded, with 34 firefighters.

The damage to the home was contained to the crawl space and the kitchen. The fire is still under investigation.
