NPSA boys soccer team strikes gold at Clash at the Border tournament

Nine Islander boys helped their Nowland Premier Soccer Academy U13 Navy team win the gold division at the 14th annual Class at the Border tournament, which took place June 24 through 26 in Vancouver, Washington.

Nine Islander boys helped their Nowland Premier Soccer Academy U13 Navy team win the gold division at the 14th annual Class at the Border tournament, which took place June 24 through 26 in Vancouver, Washington.

The U13 Navy team won all five of its matches over the course of three days, including a thrilling 1-0 penalty-kick victory over Washington Timbers FC White in the semifinal round. The U13 Navy defeated Oregon’s AUSC Athletic in the championship match 1-0.

U13 Navy team members include Addison King, Brandon Son, Brooks Enge, Carter Gribble, Daniel Bendele, David Thomas, Eli Main, Finn de Graaf, Jackson Barker, Jacob Martin, Jan Schonander, John Kennedy, Jungmin Lee, Keenan Geurts, Liam Shalom, Nikhil Hunter and Rogan Stark. The group is coached by Eli Gordley.

Also competing at the tournament was the Eastside FC Blue team, which advanced to the gold division semifinals.
