Sturtevant’s, a Bellevue ski and snowboard shop, was awarded National Ski Shop of the Year by SKI Magazine.

Current U.S. Olympian and Cle Elum resident, Patrick Deneen, has shopped at Sturtevant’s since he was one-year-old and routinely gets his skis waxed and tuned by the experts at Sturtevant’s.

Deneen recently competed in the freestyle skiing event at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Also, among Sturtevant’s Olympic customers are current U.S. Ski Team member Scott McCartney and former US Ski Team member Libby Ludlow.

“We are incredibly honored to be the recipients of Ski Magazine’s National Shop of the Year award. To be recognized on a national level is a tribute to our employees for their dedication and hard work,” said Sturtevant’s co-owner Tracy Gibbons. “We’d like to thank Duncan Campbell for the 30 years he spent building and leading this company, and for giving us this opportunity to continue providing our customers with a local, specialty ski and snowboard shop dedicated to providing the best service and selection.”

Sturtevant’s has won SKI Magazine’s Far West Shop of the Year award four times, including this year.

This is the first year the company has won the National Shop of the Year award. Sturtevant’s has been voted a Gold Medal Ski Shop by SKI Magazine every year since 1999.

Sturtevant’s is located at 1100 Bellevue Way NE, 425-454-6465.
