Mercer Island High School’s production of “Tarzan” received recognition at the 2014 5th Avenue Awards, which honored musical productions from local high school theatre programs Monday, June 9 at Benaroya Hall.
Mercer Island received honorable mention for Outstanding Scenic Design, while Peter Litzow earned honorable mention for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his performance as the jungle-swinging hero. Nate Copley garnered special honors for student achievement for his work behind the scenes on the sound design and engineering.
