John Alexander Livingstone II died peacefully at home in Menlo Park, Calif. surrounded by friends and family on December 29 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Livingstone was born September 3, 1965, to John and Sue Livingstone and raised with his sister Laurie on Mercer Island. In addition to music, his passions were family, friends and costume parties. Traveling with a backpack and trainloads of friends gave him much pleasure. In 2008, Mr. Livingstone, an attorney, joined Stanford’s Teacher Education Program to share his love of all things historical with future students. Mr. Livingstone’s irrepressible good will and unique presence will be carried on by the love of his life, Robie, and by his beloved and delightful children, Jackson and Poppy, whom he adored.

Life was good and Mr. Livingstone will be missed. In lieu of flowers please be nice and have fun.
