Edith May (Hutchison) Gilbert

Edith May (Hutchison) Gilbert (97) passed quietly away in her home October 29, 2010. She had been a resident of Mercer Island for 71 years since her marriage to William (Bill) C. Gilbert on November 23, 1939. She was born in North Powder, Oregon on August 13, 1913 and later moved to Bellevue, Washington with her parents and siblings. Bill preceded her in death August 17, 2004. She is survived by her three children: Charles A. Gilbert of Seattle, WA; Ralph W. (Pat) Gilbert of Newcastle, WA; and Linda A. (Bob) Robinson of Sisters, OR. There are also five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Hazel Miller of Bellevue, WA; Veda Winningham of Des Moines, WA; and Helen Upahl of Orange, CA.
