Marlene Marie Graham
Marlene Marie Graham, passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2012. Born in Cle Elum, Washington on May 24, 1931, she moved to Seattle while in grade school. She met the love of her life, Dale Graham, while attending Ballard High School, and the two were married for 61 years. In 1960, they moved to Mercer Island with their two children. Marlene was an active charter member of the Mercer Island Beach Club as well as volunteering at the Swedish Hospital Maternity Ward. In her spare time she enjoyed being an avid tennis player, golfer, and biker. In 1999, Marlene and Dale moved to Palm Desert where she had since lived. Marlene was a kind, warm-hearted person who was passionate about spending time with her family. Marlene, and her infamous chocolate pie, will be missed by all.Survived by her husband Dale, sister Gloria and her husband Bill Anderson (Camano Island, WA), daughter Dalene Soike (Seattle, WA), son Bret and his wife Sara (Mercer Island, WA), grand-daughter Layne Soike, and grandsons Joe and Max Graham. She is preceded in death by parents Jack and Emily “Tillie” Morgan. Memorial services were held in Palm Desert on May 1, 2012.
