William Leonard Krivosha was born on April 4, 1922 in Minot, N.D., to Sophie and Samuel Krivosha and died at the age of 86 on March 24, 2009. He graduated from Williston High School and moved to Seattle at age 16 to attend Cornish Institute to further his musical education as a concert violinist. There, he met the love of his life, Joan Brashem, and was married on March 24, 1946 at Temple de Hirsch Sinai. Mr. Krivosha was a colonel in the United States Air Force and a fighter pilot instructor during World War II. He remained active in the military for the next 30 years as he worked as a jewelry salesman at Weisfields. He was a member of Temple de Hirsch Sinai and resided at Island House Retirement Living Center on Mercer Island.
Mr. Krivosha is survived by his three children: Ron (Linda), Bruce (Marsha) and Terry Chamaty (Isaac); seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, at the Butterworth Arthur Wright Chapel on Queen Anne. Remembrances are suggested to the charity of your choice.
