Michael David Warner, whose zest for life touched all who knew him, died on April 1, 2009, in Albuquerque, N.M., at the age of 46. He was a resident of Issaquah, Wash.

Mr. Warner was born on March 26, 1963, in Boulder, Colo., to David Hunt Warner and Elizabeth Ann (Schwartz) Warner. He traveled widely with his parents and lived in Japan, Pakistan and Indonesia, as well as several places in the United States before moving to Mercer Island in 1973. He graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1981. He attended the University of Washington and Central Washington University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in business administration. His sales and management career took him throughout the United States in the electronics and energy industries.

Mr. Warner was big-hearted and had an embracing warmth. He loved gathering people together, particularly his family, and connecting them to each other. In his world, there was no such thing as “losing touch.” He was an able, enterprising thinker and a driven achiever. He tried to squeeze the most out of every day. Into his 20s, he was a ranch hand, wrangler and rodeo rider. He loved the western countryside. His homes included Eastern Washington, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. He loved his kids, family and friends. Just being around people made his day.

Although Mr. Warner had seen the world, his most favorite sanctuary was the home in Issaquah where he lived with his wife and two youngest children. He loved being a “papa” to all his children. He always said some of his favorite years with his children were when they were newborns. His two youngest are Mick (20 months) and Allie (10 weeks). They will carry his name and some of his special quirks that we all know and love. We will all miss him dearly, but his children will feel the void most of all.

Mr. Warner is survived by his loving wife of two and a half years, F. Alexandera Razaghi-Warner, of Issaquah; children, Dakota (15) and Sierra (11), of Bothell; Michael Alexander and Alexandera Michelle, of Issaquah; parents, David and Liz Warner, of Mercer Island; sisters, Jennifer and Katherine, of Bellevue; and brother, Jonathan, of Oakland, Calif. A celebration of Mr. Warner’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church, 3605 84th Ave. S.E. A reception will follow.
