Lore Barbara Struyvenberg

Lore Barbara Struyvenberg was born in Neuwied am Rhein, Germany on 8/8/1928. She passed away peacefully in Redmond, Oregon on 1/1/2011.Barbara embraced adventure and had a full and happy life. At twenty-two she found her kindred spirit Albert Struyvenberg on a whirl-wind vacation in Taormina, Italy. They were married in Singapore and then immigrated to the United States in 1956. Wherever they lived, Barbara always made a home filled with love, warmth and great times.She loved being outdoors; gardening, skiing, river rafting, hiking and walking on the beach. We will miss her smile, laughter and the joy she brought to all of us.Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Albert Struyvenberg, and her children, Eva and her son Maxwell, Peter and his wife Robin and their daughter Sarah, and Anne and her husband Kirk and their children Sean and Cara. Remembrances can be given to the Salvation Army.
