Kristina Bosworth Robbs died March 11, 2017 after battling a rare form of adrenal cancer.

Kris was “one in a million,” beloved for her energy, generosity, compassion and humor. The 67-year-old grandmother, premier realtor, world traveler, philanthropist and friend to all she met, was born in Chicago, Ill. to Robert and Janet Bosworth. She grew up in Milwaukee, Buffalo, and Atlanta, graduating high school in Sandy Springs, where she was a majorette.

She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from the Atlanta College of Medical & Dental Assistants. She married Charles Thurber Robbs in Atlanta, 1971. They began military life stationed in Germany, where both children, Jennie and Chad, were born. Following several moves, they settled on Mercer Island in 1980.

Kris balanced raising two-children with a successful career in real estate that lasted more than 35-years. She was best known for her expertise in waterfront and luxury home sales concentrated in Mercer Island and the Eastside.

Personally, she was active in several organizations, PEO, Sunset Club, Forum XXII, VFW, Swedish Foundation, Seattle Yacht Club and Opera Guild among them, often volunteering for leadership positions. She believed in supporting the community and the arts including the MI Preschool Association, Pilchuck Glass Auction, Adopt a Family, MI Youth & Family Services, Ben Towne Foundation, NW Parkinson’s Foundation, VFW Historic Preservation and many others. She was a longtime Mariners season ticket holder, avid Seahawk fan, Seattle Opera and Symphony goer. Many weekends were spent skiing at Crystal Mountain where she was on the Silver Skis Board.

She is survived by her husband Charlie; daughter Jennie Robbs Banks (husband, Zac); son Chad (wife, Kim); mother Janet Bosworth; brothers Bill (wife, Marty) and Bob Bosworth (wife, Jill); brother-in-law Philip Robbs (wife, Claudia), sister-in-law Kathy Robbs; beloved grandchildren Colin (4-years) and Lucy Banks (21-months); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

Kris was so much larger than life, always ready for the next adventure, always with a smile on her face. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by every one of them.
