Ryan Calkins deserves your vote for Port Commission Position 1.

Having owned a business operating out of the Port, Calkins knows the terrain and will bring a unique perspective. It’s important to note that the business he owned was named by Seattle City Light as one of Seattle’s Greenest Businesses.

The Port has been rocked by scandal over the last couple of years and Calkins pledges to bring some much needed transparency.

But perhaps most important to me is the following quote, “I will vote no on any effort to lease Port facilities to fossil-fuel-extracting equipment.”

It’s well past time for us to get serious about climate change and I trust Ryan Calkins to walk the talk on environmental issues. Please vote for him.
