Wednesday temps fall to 14 degrees

Ice and snow still covers many Island streets, yards and parks.

Temperatures fell to just 14 degrees today but went as high as 28 as the sky lightened and the wind subsided. Temperatures at the St. Monica School weather station measured 26 degrees at 4 p.m. today with no measurable rain or snow. The forecast is for temperatures to continue to rise tomorrow with a high expected of 39 and a low of 26 for Thanksgiving. Rain and or snow is forecast for the morning, but it will turn to rain later.
