Allene was born March 11, 1926 to Roy and Agnes Jenkins in Seattle, Washington. She met and married the love of her life, Stewart Mullen, and they worked and raised their family in the Seattle area. Allene worked as the Treasurer of the family Construction business, S. S. Mullen, Inc. and also spent time working for Seattle Children’s Hospital. But, her greatest achievement was being a homemaker for Stewart and their son, Stephen, which at times involved travelling with Stewart for work and of course keeping track of Stephen’s activities.
Allene had many varied skills and hobbies including tennis, swimming, bowling, golf, bridge and dance. Having lived on Mercer Island by Lake Washington the water skiing, swimming and boating were regular
family outings during the summer months.
After retirement, Allene and Stewart travelled extensively, eventually settling in Carlsbad, California, where she passed away on January 7, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband Stewart and is survived by their son Stephen. Allene was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by her son, family and friends.
Private family services were held when she was laid to rest at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Seattle, WA.
Remembrances may be made to Seattle Childrens Hospital or The American Lung Association.
