Patricia Ann Barrett was a registered nurse who had a gift for serving others. She passed from this life to more life with God on Thursday, May 30, 2019. She was 80 years old.
Nursing was in Pat’s soul. Her career spanned over 50 years. Pat’s natural gift was always serving people, which was exemplified through her mentoring of so many nurses sharing the wisdom and experience that she gained over the years. She was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect and true compassion. She began her career in orthopedics, moved to surgical nursing, and eventually wrote the book on excellence in home health care nursing in Las Vegas for many years. Most recently, she served as a home care visiting nurse with Group Health, serving the Eastside of Seattle.
Pat’s servant heart and love will continue to beat in the lives of her cherished family, which includes the Reverend Rebekah Barrett (daughter), Peter Blomgren, PhD (son-in-law), Rev. Paul Barrett (son), Dr. Devon Singh-Barrett (daughter-in-law), Mayah Singh-Barrett (granddaughter), Miles Singh-Barrett (grandson), Susan Montoya (sister), Dr. Benjamin Montoya (nephew), Haley Montoya (niece-in-law) and their children Elias and Isla.
A celebration of life and witness to the resurrection service will take place on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 1:00pm at Overlake Park Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, WA followed with a British Tea Reception in the church fellowship hall.
All are welcome.
