Mercer Island School District’s new logo reflects its core values, vision and mission, according to the district’s Facebook page.

“In keeping with students as the priority, the new logo was designed by MIHS senior Qi Li, who spoke beautifully at the last School Board meeting two weeks ago about the hands around the outline of the Island being the focal point to reflect the caring MI community,” the post reads.

Li is a student in Jessica Shideler’s MIHS graphic design class, and his design was chosen from more than 70 submitted by high school students.
