The city had received more than 60 responses at press time on its virtual open house to collect feedback about a redesign of the Luther Burbank docks. The survey began Sept. 2 and has recently been extended through Oct. 7.
Boaters and other waterfront users are invited to visit the park (following appropriate COVID-19 measures) and view an outdoor display of project alternatives presented on six posters, or visit the project website to see the same information online, especially while smoky conditions persist. After seeing the new concepts for the docks, shoreline and related facilities at the waterfront, participants can fill out an online questionnaire or take home a paper copy to return to the city. Residents can now view a summary “cheat sheet” comparing the existing docks to the various design alternatives at the above link.
Repairs to the waterfront plaza pavers are underway, and parks users are still able to access the docks and the current open house displays.
