Welfare check: Police officers contacted a person screaming in the 3200 block of 78th Avenue Southeast. The subject didn’t want assistance.
Fraud: A business owner in the 8000 block of Southeast 28th Street noticed someone attempting to cash bad checks on the owner’s business account.
Fence feud: A feud between neighbors over their shared fence project was reported in the 2400 block of 84th Avenue Southeast.
Feb. 9
Fraud: A resident in the 4200 block of 89th Avenue Southeast reported receiving a call from someone posing as an internet provider and requesting gift cards.
Theft: It was reported that a catalytic converter was stolen from a resident’s vehicle in the 2500 block of 81st Avenue Southeast.
Burglary: It was reported that burglars cut chains and stole power tools from a back yard in the 7200 block of Southeast 24th Street.
Feb. 8
Traffic accident: A pedestrian sustained a minor injury during a traffic accident in the 7700 block of Southeast 29th Street.
Noisy hoopster: A resident in the 2800 block of 75th Place Southeast was concerned about the noise impact of a basketball hoop.
Fraud: A business in the 7700 block of Southeast 27th Street was defrauded by a suspect impersonating a bank employee.

Salon dispute: It was reported that there was a dispute over the cost of services at a salon in the 3000 block of Island Crest Way.
Too close for comfort: A physical altercation was reported between strangers following a verbal exchange about physical distancing in the 8400 block of Southeast 63rd Street.

Malicious mischief: It was reported that someone broken into mailboxes in the 6800 block of East Mercer Way.
Theft: It was reported that someone stolen an item off a front porch in the 3000 block of 61st Avenue Southeast.

Trailer theft: It was reported that someone stole a locked trailer from a driveway in the 8500 block of Southeast 72nd Street.
Feb. 2
Smash and grab: It was reported that someone smashed the rear window of a vehicle and swiped snowboard gear in the 3700 block of 86th Avenue Southeast.
Worried windsurfer: A windsurfer in distress was spotted and assisted on Lake Washington.
Theft: It was reported that someone nicked a license plate from a vehicle in the 4000 block of 86th Avenue Southeast.
Feb. 1
Fraud: A victim in the 7300 block of 78th Avenue Southeast reported that she received a fraudulent email requesting she purchase gift cards. The victim lost $1,400.
Neighbor dispute: Neighbors in the 7200 block of 78th Avenue Southeast engaged in a dispute over yard waste being disposed over the property line.

Burglary: It was reported that there was evidence of a break-in and items missing from a residence in the 7900 block of Southeast 65th Street.
Jan. 30
K-9 assist: A neighboring police department’s K-9 unit assisted local officers in locating a suspect who reportedly broke a window of a residence in the 5000 block of West Mercer Way.
Jan. 28
Foot knocker: A victim stated that his foot was run over by a vehicle in a parking lot in the 2900 block of 78th Avenue Southeast. The vehicle exited the scene.
Harassment: A resident of the 8200 block of 71st Avenue Southeast reported receiving threatening text messages.
Jan. 26
Traffic accident: A non-injury traffic accident was reported in the 5900 block of East Mercer Way.
Myspace: A verbal dispute was reported over a parking space in a lot in the 7600 block of Southeast 27th Street.
Jan. 25
Fraud: A business in the 2700 block of 77th Avenue Southeast was defrauded with suspicious purchases.
Theft: It was reported that someone stole a vehicle from a residence in the 3200 block of 80th Avenue Southeast.
