Cyclist sustains minor injuries in hit-and-run

A cyclist sustained minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle on June 19 in the 4300 block of East Mercer Way, according to the Mercer Island police and fire departments. The vehicle sped from the scene after the incident. While examining vehicle debris evidence, police identified the suspect’s vehicle as a black 2014-2016 Mazda 3. “Many people, bicyclists and vehicles reported this vehicle driving recklessly, even on the freeway at one point,” police noted.
