The Mercer Island High School Drama Department will delve into the classic adventure “The Odyssey” for eight in-person performances this month at the school.
Written and adapted from Homer’s Greek myth by Mary Zimmerman, it tells the tale of life following the Trojan War and Odysseus’ epic journey home to his wife Penelope with a sorceress, monsters, gods and storms standing in his way to make it home alive.

Milo Mechem-Miller (Cast Scylla) and Lucas Vorkoper (Cast Charybdis) will trade off in the role of Odysseus; and Kate Petersen (Cast Scylla) and Sophia Dondisch (Cast Charydbis) will each perform as Athena in their respective casts.
