Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s “Planet Earth” committee will lead a volunteer effort to help the city by potting, re-potting and planting native plant starts from 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 27 at Luther Burbank Park.

If people would like to join the effort, volunteers will meet at the Luther Burbank Caretakers Building at the south end of the north parking lot.
