The Friendship Circle of Washington will present its ninth annual Walk with Friendship and Community Fun Day from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Luther Burbank Park. The fun-filled family day brings together the community to support families, children and teens with special needs.

The 1K Walk/5K run is followed by a celebration of friendship with entertainment, a community resource fair, music, food, a kid zone, games for all ages and prizes.

Support from its community partners helps the organization run: Twice a month Sunday Circles for kids with special needs and teen volunteers; life skills, social inclusion, and outdoor adventure programs focused on teens with special needs; unique respite during its Friends@Home program with weekly visits to more than 30 homes and more.
