Greg Olson Productions will bring the long-running Film Noir Series to the Eastside for the first time from Oct. 12-Nov. 30 at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island, 3801 E. Mercer Way.
In the 43rd year of the world’s longest-running Film Noir Series, “Spellbound,” sponsored by the La Stella Foundation, will screen films on Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m., one film each week on Oct. 12, 19 and 26, and Nov. 2, 16, 23 and 30. The series will feature “The Maltese Falcon,” “Night and the City,” “A Place in the Sun,” “Kiss Me Deadly,” “The Killing,” “The Conversation” and “Drive.” Tova Gannana, poet, film curator and teacher, will provide an essay on each film.
