MI Parent Edge will host a film screening of “Race to Nowhere” and a panel discussion from 7-9 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Mercer Island High School Performing Arts Center. The free event is appropriate for adults and middle/high school students.
According to a film description, “Race to Nowhere” features the heartbreaking stories of students nationwide who have been pushed to the brink by unimaginable homework loads, the relentless pressure to achieve and more.
“We look forward to starting a community conversation on this topic to discuss solutions and explore how we can best support our youth,” reads a press release.
