August 3, 1938 – October 1, 2022

Neil W. Buhman died October 1, 2022 surrounded by family at home. He was born in Camas, WA August 3rd, 1938 to Wayne and Eva Buhman. Neil grew up in Camas and graduated from Camas High School where he enjoyed his role as senior class president and was active in band, drama and basketball. On Aug. 23, 1958, he married Lois Clemans, “the prettiest girl in school.” He went on to college at WSU and firmly adhered to the “Once a Coug, always a Coug” tradition. He graduated in 1961 from WSU and began his 30-year teaching career after moving to Mercer Island that summer.

Neil is survived by his sister; Linda Bentley, his wife of 64 years; Lois, two children; Tad Buhman and Cynthia Yarno, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
