Do good. Be kind.

That will be one of myriad key messages at Friendship Circle of Washington’s 12th annual Walk with Friendship and Community Kindness Day from 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center.

The fun-filled family festival will feature acts of kindness, entertainment, carnival games, food, a family resource fair and more. The 1K walk is open to individuals, community groups, corporate teams, and local businesses.

“This year’s walk invites teens, family, and community to share acts of kindness, furthering the Friendship Circle’s mission of friendship and inclusion,” reads the organization’s web site.
