MIFC has kicked into its 60th year on the soccer pitch and will celebrate that momentous occasion with an anniversary event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 22 at Islander Middle School/South Mercer Playfields.
Some highlights planned for the massive day include: a keynote speech and special guest speakers, the Mercer Island High School drum line, a teams parade (11:30 a.m.), games and prizes, food and drinks, a coaches versus parents game, photo booth, a live DJ and merchandise with customization on site.
“Everyone at the club is incredibly proud of this milestone, as it represents decades of effort from the community, families, and the players,” reads a press release.
