Mercer Island High School’s football team defeated Highline High School, 51-6, on Nov. 2 to remain undefeated this season. The Islanders finished first in the KingCo Mountain division with a 6-0 record and stand at 9-0 overall. MI advances to the 3A District 1-6 playoffs and will battle Kelso High School at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 on the road at Highlander Stadium. The winner qualifies for state.
