Vehicle prowl: Officers arrested and jailed a suspect for entering a vehicle and stealing the victim’s belongings in the 2200 block of West Mercer Way.

Nov. 8

Theft: A resident in the 4000 block of 94th Avenue Southeast reported that someone swiped the victim’s passport and credit card.

Theft: In the 7700 block of Southeast 34th Street, a subject climbed into the Mercer Island Thrift Shop donation bin and stole various items.

Malicious mischief: Someone broke into multiple locking mailboxes in the 3800 block of East Mercer Way.

Vehicle prowl: A resident in the 7600 block of Southeast 27th Street alerted police that someone broke into their vehicle. Nothing was stolen.

Fraud: An unknown online person issued threats and extorted more than $1,000 from a victim in a bitcoin transfer.
