In its latest storm update, the city of Mercer Island reported that earlier today Puget Sound Energy (PSE) restored power to a good portion of the Town Center and neighborhoods to the west.
PSE’s crew is working on repairs to the primary electrical feeder lines — which were heavily damaged by tree fall — that supply power to most of the Island. City maintenance crews are also working alongside the PSE teams to assist with debris removal. Downed lines and damaged equipment elsewhere must also be repaired before power is switched back on in certain areas to avoid re-damaging equipment.
