An article in Feb. 16 Reporter incorrectly stated that Mercer Island’s tax rate is increasing this year. The overall tax rate is decreasing from $8.82 per $1,000 assessed value to $8.61. The tax imposed just by the city of Mercer Island is increasing 1.27 percent.

Margaret Ellen Tarnawai’s name was misspelled in last week’s Hats Off.
