After serving a one-game suspension during Washington’s opener at Hawaii, sophomore quarterback Cyler Miles will start in the team’s home opener against Eastern Washington Saturday, Sept. 6.

Head coach Chris Petersen announced the change Monday, two days after the Huskies edged the Warriors 17-16 with sophomore Jeff Lindquist starting at quarterback. Lindquist completed 10 of 26 passes against Hawaii, throwing for a touchdown and no interceptions in the victory.

Miles was expected to start at quarterback for the Huskies this season before his alleged involvement in an altercation following last February’s Super Bowl led to a one-game suspension.
