Construction on the State Route 520 bridge will close it this weekend, beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, April 27.
Cranes are schedule to lift 42 concrete girders into place over SR 520, part of the project to build lidded overpasses and widen the highway to six lanes.
The bridge will remain closed until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 30.
Alternate routes are likely to see the heaviest traffic midday Saturday and Sunday.
Approximately 150 construction workers will work to set up the girders, installing nearly 1,000 feet of drainage pipes under the highway and finishing the demolition of the old Evergreen Point Road overpass.
