Merrimount and Island Crest needs a light

I was employed by the city of Mercer Island for 15 years, from 1985 to 2000. One of my jobs was to record, by hand, all the accidents on Mercer Island. I had a three-ring binder, which contained a page or pages of every intersection on Mercer Island. The intersection that had the most pages with accidents recorded was Island Crest Way and Merrimount. So, as you can see, that intersection has been a problem for many, many years. Like the Brodys, I do not understand what the hesitation is or why they are waiting so long to put up a signal. It’s like they’re waiting for something really terrible to happen before they take action.
