Why hasn’t there been more Internet service providers on Mercer Island? With the new “data cap” imposed by Comcast and CenturyLink, it seems like residents are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I personally believe this is colluding, but that is beside the point. What I find unfair is they sell tiered download speed options and now slap on a data cap? So one can pay more for higher speed but need to pay more (overage) to truly take advantage of the higher speed.
It is like paying a toll to go in the express lane and paying again to drive more than five miles in the express lane. Is it possible to do a Mercer Island poll/survey to see which Internet service provider folks are using and if they are aware of “data cap” and the impact?
