With the primary election upon us, our community is fortunate that Deborah Lurie is running for Position 4 for School Board. Deborah is a King County public defender who has spent the majority of her career representing kids.

Deborah possesses strong advocacy and listening skills, considers various viewpoints and works daily to solve challenging problems that meet the unique needs of every child. A Mercer Island graduate, Deborah and her husband returned to raise their daughter here. She recognizes and welcomes the changes happening in the community that make it an even betterplace to raise children today.

As a former Mercer Island teacher and School Board member, I believe Deborah Lurie truly is the best candidate for Position 4. Please vote for her when you complete and mail your primary ballot.
